Not Coming Up For Air….Yet

Captain’s Log   6,127

Where have I been?  Working on a grant.  It has FIFTY SEVEN pages of just guidelines, so you can imagine the actual writing I must do.

I will be coming up for air soon.  When I do, I am going to drink a bottle of Belgian cherry beer.

The beer sounds good. I’m back on the bottle again!

  2. I was going to comment that I hoped the amount of grant money was worth all of that work, but you’ve answered my question already. I do hope you are successful.

  3. Pay for Terry to come out.

I get to deal with that shortly – only with the Canadian government. Wish me luck.

I’m partners in a green project based out of Quebec. My partner is the tech, I’m the “business” end of things. Ergo I get to do the research and grant writing and all that jazz. It’s a pain in the butt right now but I think in the long run it’ll be worth it.

This is exactly why I don’t go after farming grant money… who the heck has the time!? I hope you get through it as easily as possible and with great sucess

  6. hope the grant money is worth all the time. Sounds like a complicated task.

Grants. UGH! Nasty work, that. Have TWO beers!

In what I do now, I slog through all those pages of guidelines, eligibility requirements, submission info, blah blah blah blah. I can take a 90+ page “info sheet” and bring it down to a few useful sentences. This is my life now.

Do it in Vegas so I can watch you get loaded.
