Brunch and Stuff

Captain’s Log   5,970

We are having so much fun!  So far, we have done some shopping (for a disposable cell phone that makes international calls), eaten some great food (including some home-cooked meals – please temper your applause), and wandered around to look at cool things.  I am waiting to whip up some fruit smoothies for brunch.  We are having eggs with broccoli and cheese.  And cornbread.  Color me Martha.

We are spending a lot of time hanging out on the sofa just being quiet and reading.  I like that in a person.  When you can be quiet for hours and not feel the need to chatter or entertain.  That must mean we are good friends.

We start our trip north on Saturday morning.  I have a business meeting at Cardiff-by-the-Sea.  Yes, it is really called that.  And it is gorgeous.  We will probably hang out in the Laguna Beach area for a few days.  Treat ourselves nice.  We deserve it.

Time to make brunch.

It sounds just perfect. The weather has taken a turn and the sun is out. Laguna Beach will be a lovely drive looking out to the ocean as you drive up. It is so beautiful here and Laguna Beach is quaint, quirky and the choice of restaurants is endless. Keep us along for the ride! Yeah, a road trip with Poolie. XO

  4. That is the best kind of vacation…..when I am with my sisters, we watch tv and snark at all the stupidity and read books and magazines. It’s just so comforting to look up and see someone you love sitting there with you, isn’t it?
