Awakened By a Ghost….Again

Captain’s Log   5,929

Wow!  The birds were hungry this morning.  As always.

Little marauder!

Earlier in the morning…….

I was awakened around 3:00 AM with a call about the alarms going off.  I met our business manager at the museum around 3:20.  The police arrived about 3:45 and we went inside for a thorough sweep.  Nothing there but they still checked.  Flashlights shining everywhere.

It’s amazing who is up and doing stuff at that hour.  There was a guy training for a bike race.  He was zooming through our parking lot over and over.  WTF?  When I used to work at the theatre in the park, we would often encounter a guy playing bagpipes in the middle of the night.  Guess that’s a good time to practice – alone and away from your neighbors.

I got home at 4:30 or so and promptly fell into a deep sleep until almost 9:00!  OMG!  I never sleep that late!  So off I go a bit discombobulated.   What else is new?

A ghost for sure. Spooky right on cue.

  2. Make that ghost at least buy you a cup of coffee (or turn on the coffee machine, if you have one) next time he/she wakes you up at o’dark thirty. Though I suspect the real culprit may be a bird hiding in the rafters, or maybe a bat.

  3. What do the cops think?

It must be the same invisible goblins that my cats chase at 3 am.

  5. Maybe the ghost wanted to say Goodbye to you…..lol.

Calls at that hour are never good. Good news always can wait until the sun is up.
