Pick-a-Nick Time

Captain’s Log   5,889

What a great time we had at the volunteer picnic yesterday!  YAY!  We had almost 80 people show up for a wonderful shared meal in the private park behind the museum.  We provided the entrees and the beverages, and everyone brought something to share.  It was really nice.

Buffet line just getting started.  We ended up with lots more food!

Museum staff cooking.  The veggie burgers had a separate grill.  I wonder why.

Even Beau, the library mascot, showed up with his mom and dad.

I managed to snag one of these shortcake kabob things before they were all gone.  OMG!

We handed out new volunteer baseball caps that everybody seemed to really like.   I got to the museum at 9:30 in the morning and left just after 2:00 in the afternoon.  And it was worth every second.  We love our volunteers!

I also found out someone has been telling lies again.  Someone who stood in my way for a very long time.  I was dismayed but not surprised.   Even so, I want to see her pants on fire.

We could have made s’mores if she had shown up with her flaming pants.

  1. Glad the picnic went so well but really sorry to hear the fabricators’s pantaloons didn’t attract the flames.

  2. I won’t even guess.

Yes, great party. Yes, better than that food. Sorry I didn’t feel up to helping break the tables and chairs down. Yes, we had a great time.

It was fun to read about a fun party. Not so much about the troublemaker. I am so sick of those kind of people.

  5. It’s the considerate thing to do; my son-in-law always sets up a separate grill for those who don’t eat meat (even though he is a true meat-eater).

Somewhere along the way, habitual liars get caught up in their own nets. That is not to say you can’t set a few quiet nets of your own.

Cant wait to hear who the liar is.
