Major Props

Captain’s Log   5,833

This is all I have today.  With such breathtaking artistry……who needs more?  It wasn’t written by Elvis but he is often given the credit.  He sang it, but George David Weiss, Hugo Peretti, and Luigi Creatore wrote the song.   It’s all based on Plaisir d’amour that was written in the 1700’s.  I don’t like giving Elvis too much credit.  He had enough credit in his day.  He did not write this song – nor did he sing it as well as Jena Irene on American Idol.

This is amazing stuff. Please watch it.

I thought she did a great job on that song too.

  2. I agree. It takes a remarkable talent to take a song so firmly identified with an icon, and truly make it her own. Bravo!

Yes, she did a fabulous job. I think it will come down to her and Calab. Not sure who will win but if she looses, i am sure she has a singing career in her future!
