Saying Goodbye to Sophia

Captain’s Log   5,781

Friend Pam’s great little pooch is crossing the Rainbow Bridge this afternoon.  I will be there to help set her on her way.

Farewell to little Anna Sophia, Flour Tortilla.

Her brother Tucker is already there and waiting for her.  They were the greatest of pals.

I was looking at sympathy cards for a friend whose dog is also very sick, and I found the following sentiment: In heaven, the windows are always rolled all the way down.

  3. God bless her little heart, hugs to Pam and her daughter and you…

Awww… I remember both Sophia and her big brother, Tucker. Such sweet, loving little characters! Each had their own charms, and will be much missed.

  5. Oh no, the little snuggle buddy is on her way to see Tucker and all my cats. I’m so sorry but I know you all loved her so much…and now no more bagels in the bed…..

  6. Oh my goodness, this made me cry, much to my surprise. That first photo got me right in the heart. Hugs to Pam, and to you.

We lost a member of our fur family this week, too. It is brave to help Sophia on her way. But we are Promise Keepers and it is out job to not allow them to suffer. it is the least we owe them for all the love and loyalty. Farewell, Sophia…say hello to Jeffrey the Boxer, he’s new there, too.

It’s never easy to release our fur babies – peace to you all

  9. It’s always sad. They are so much a part of our lives, and they do that so quickly. It breaks one’s heart.

  10. The saddest day in any dog owner’s life. “Dogs’ lives are too short. Their only fault, really.” ~Agnes Sligh Turnbull. I hope Pam has many fond memories to console her.

So sorry to hear about Sophia. Days like this suck. I missed that Tucker passed over the bridge but I know he’s waiting for Sophia to arrive. Sending Kleenex!
